MeetingBarometer

The MeetingBarometer is a market research tool with which a destination can continuously collect and analyse data (on a monthly basis) from the event sector. This web application allows participating venues to enter recurring data on meeting attendance quickly and securely.

Understand current developments and innovative trends in the meetings and events segment in detail and manage marketing activities in the MICE business professionally.

Current developments and innovative trends in the meeting and event segment can be understood in detail through this tool and the marketing activities of the destination in the MICE business can be professionally controlled. Therefore the MeetingBarometer can also form the foundation for scenario models (forecasts for future event development).  For the destination management organisations (DMOs) or the convention bureaus, the MeetingBarometer represents a continuous control instrument that makes the detailed significance, the seasonal course and the orientation of the event market transparent.  But also the participating providers of event facilities such as congress centres, conference hotels and event locations benefit from the current market data: they can look at the data of the respective destination in the form of reports at any time.

In addition to the reports, an annual study MeetingBarometer is published with detailed analyses and illustrations for the client. In addition to overviews of their own destination, it also contains comparisons of the nationwide market development (Meeting & EventBarometer) as well as recommendations and meeting trends.

Examples of Data to be Collected:

  • Number of events, including a breakdown by size, type and duration

  • Proportion of events with supporting programme and exhibitions

  • Number, origin of (national/international) participants

  • Overnight stays generated by the meeting market

  • Organiser: business or non-profit sectors, industry affiliation

  • Regional origin of the organisers

  • In addition to a few compulsory questions, the query mask can be fully adapted to the needs of the region if required
